“COR” means “heart” and the heart or essence of COR Legal is to create the optimal combination of positive relationships and value for its clients.
Our focus is fractional in-house counsel services to drive efficiency and cost savings for businesses. We work "on-demand" for small, medium, and mature businesses.
COR Legal is a law firm which offers in-house legal expertise to companies which need regular, on-going legal support but do not wish to hire a full-time in-house lawyer, or add more full-time resources to their existing in-house legal team.

Who is COR Legal?
COR Legal was founded by J. Scott Pusey with a vision to be a unique and innovative firm that functions both as a legal advisor and a business partner. COR Legal thereby becomes a core, essential asset to each client’s business success.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, Scott has a unique and diverse background with experience in large law firm practice in Denver and New York and several in-house legal counsel roles.
Scott also has expertise in process improvement consulting and in-house legal operations leadership. Scott also held C-Suite level executive leadership positions for eight years with a global manufacturing company in Risk Management and Safety, Health and Environmental, and also worked as a strategic risk management consultant.
Scott is a member of the bars of Colorado and New York. He earned his Juris Doctor degree at Columbia University School of Law in New York, NY and a B.S. in General and International Business at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.
